Horses at the Prescott Area Artist Studio Tour
Yes, there will be horses at the Prescott Area Artist Studio Tour again this year!
“This year there are 80 artists in 51 private studios plus an additional 27 artists at three Art Centers. This is a free, self-guided event and you may begin at any location. Meet the artists, observe their creative processes and purchase unique works of art. The Tour runs 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily, from Friday, October 5 through Sunday, October 7.
2018 marks the 11th annual Prescott Area Artist Studio Tour. The Tour is a celebration of the arts and the artists in the Prescott Quad-City area. This free, self-guided tour is a 3-day event that commences on the first weekend in October. You are welcome to start at any location on the Tour. Click here for maps and directions.”
New Horse art for the 2018 Prescott Area Artist Studio Tour
For this year, I will be bringing my computer and screen along to be able to work on new horse art for the 2018 holiday season. In the last 6 weeks I have had several wonderful commissioned photo shoots and hope to uncover and create some special horse art to add to my collections. Working in Photoshop, I will review the images and narrow down the choices. At that point I may apply some alternative filters and techniques to create new horse art.
Your invited to the Pre-tour Gala
The pre-tour gala for the Prescott area artist studio tour in Wednesday evening, October 3rd from 5-7pm. The event is open to the public and is located inside the Elks Theater. Many of the artists will be on hand to showcase one piece of art and to mingle with the public.
The pre-tour gala also will offer the public wine and beer tasting and appetizers by many local wineries and catering services. It’s a chance to enjoy local art and food and drink and live music! All packed into a 2 hour reception.
I hope to see many of you this year at the pre-tour gala or at the Prescott Area Artist Studio Tour event!!
