Living in an Art Gallery

It’s been over 6 months since I started living in an Art Gallery.

It’s been over 6 months since I started living in an Art Gallery.  It started back in early April when I left home for a few days to visit my mother.  She lives up in the bay area and had just been released from the Hospital.  I flew up there to see what I could do to help, to keep her company and to see her in person after her hospital stay.

Upon return home, I walked into my own personal art gallery.  I was now living among many of my own beautiful Horse art creations.  The Horse art that had been in storage, awaiting the next opening or to fill the next spot at the gallery were all unpacked and hanging on our walls. Not just the living room wall, but the kitchen as well. My partner and her sister, an aspiring interior designer and a very talented architect had decided it was time to free the artwork from the boxes and put them out for everyone’s enjoyment.

Feel the Horse Art surround me

The two of them really wanted me to feel like I was living in an art gallery and to be surrounded by my horse art.  They succeeded and it’s been amazing and wonderful.  Each day I come home toliving in art gallery-horse photographer jody miller these images surrounding me- I walk through my living room and feel the energy from the horses.  I feel the excitement of the white Andalusian Stallion emerging from the ocean waves.  I am soothed by the orange glow of the silhouetted Friesian Stallion as it runs along the beach at sunset.  This mesmerizing horse photo taken at dusk fit perfect in our faux fireplace mantle and it glows just as beautiful as the orange glow of flames from a fire.  Over my desk and work area, I am empowered by a heroic woman on her valiant steed galloping through the ocean waves.  On the side of my desk I feel the strong and noble muscles rippling from the image I call Contortion.  Each muscle along with the arched neck- provide strength and stamina as I sit at my desk.

As you walk into the kitchen area there is one very large image over the dining table!  All you really need is this one image and it lifts the entire room to a new level.  Sand Storm stares out into the room as we cook and share stories and laughter at the dinner table.

In the art gallery upstairs you will find one more horse photo on canvas.  Strength hangs just above the bed and exudes strong energy, soothing yet powerful these two horses join together and  emerge from a dust cloud. Glowing rim light catches your eye the light follows their long manes and forelock just before the sunset.  This one is still one of my all time favorites.

In the hallway at the top of the stairs are a few more pieces- each one reminds me of where and when I captured that moment and how fun it is to be around horses.

I love living in an art gallery!

The space we live in is now completely embodied by horse art.  The healing energy of horses speaks from the walls as you walk by each one.  I am comforted and privileged to be surrounded by the horses beauty.
