Horse pictures move to Sedona, Arizona!
Last week my horse pictures made a move into the Sedona Artist Market in Sedona, Arizona. I had been wanting to try the Sedona Art Gallery market again- since leaving The Village Gallery in 2016.
As more tourists visit Sedona, Arizona in search of the amazing Southwest experience, they can now take home an exquisite image of the Southwest featuring horses running in golden fields with red rocks as the backdrop. For those visitors seeking the nostalgic “western” photographs, I have many choices of wall art with cowboys and cowgirls in action!
The Sedona Artist Market.
“The Sedona Artist Market is an exciting art destination in West Sedona. With over 8,000 square feet of shopping area and 100+ artists, you are certain to find that special gift item or Fine Art piece for your home or office. Offering jewelry, wearables, handmade baskets, photography, glass art, digital art and even some of those “what the heck is that” objets d’art that are certain to put a smile on your face. ”
In 2016 new owners took over this 15 year old business and did some major remodeling. This business model allows local artists a venue to sell direct to art collectors but not have to own and operate their own gallery. Each artist can rent a space sized to fit their needs. The Sedona Artist Market has staff on hand to operate the gallery and run the operation. The Sedona Artist Market is open 10-5 daily and is located at : 2081 W. Hwy 89A, Suite 11, Sedona, AZ 86336
Horse photo shoots in Sedona.
I periodically visit the Double H Equine Foundation in Sedona to photograph their herd of horses and minis and donkeys. If you recall, my 2018 calendar featured the minis of Double H Equine. This place is such a sanctuary- the views are breathtaking, the owners and volunteers are all very friendly and of course the horses are well cared for and can enjoy the remainder of their lives in peaceful surroundings.
You may have even seen my last blog post with photos of Serena in Sedona. I sent out the first post prematurely with just a link to the gallery of horse photos, so here’s another chance to read about the commissioned photo shoot of Serena in Sedona.
Sedona Art Galleries
VisitSedona.com website says “Sedona is often recognized as being one of the best small cities in the country for the arts, and many of its galleries are within walking distance of one another (which you can see on this gallery map).
Whether you’re an avid art collector, or simply looking for a souvenir for friends and family back home, your choices are many. Sedona is home to numerous art galleries, supported by a thriving bohemian art community. Artists in the area often find inspiration right in their own backyard, with breathtaking landscapes of red rock formations underneath a vast sky.”
