Horse photographer travels to Perth, Western Australia.
Where are the horses in Perth, Western Australia?
In a few months I will be making the very long journey to Perth, Western Australia to visit family. Although I have traveled to Perth several times to visit- this will be the first time I will be carrying my professional camera gear and photographing horses during my stay.
I am currently looking for Horse breeders and Horse owners in the Perth area that would like to have their horses photographed by a professional Horse photographer. I have begun my “google searches” and started to reach out to local area horse people.
30 plus hours of travel to Perth Western Australia
By far one of the longest trips I have ever taken. The longest stretch this time will be LAX to Melbourne at 14 hours airtime. I have calculated that travel from door to door will be close to 35 hours. Absolutely worth it to visit my sister and a big bonus to get to photograph horses in Perth while I’m away. Although, Western Australia doesn’t have any truly unique breeds of horse, it will be really fun to create a special “Perth Horse Collection” for my website and art galleries.
This is the 4th time making this journey to the other side of the world, however it is the first time that I am not making this trip alone. Fortunately, Christy will be joining me. Even though I hope to sleep for most of the travel, it’s still nice to be taking this trip with a great company. So far it appears that the flight will be pretty full but I’m hoping we will have the opportunity to spread out a little bit.
What about Healthy Food when your up in the air?
A valid concern when traveling is how to get healthy food at 30,000 feet for 30 hours. For the last 8 months I have changed my “diet” to following the Plant Paradox from Dr. Gundry. My refrigerator is always filled with fresh vegetables, pastured animal protein like eggs, chicken or beef. Part of the research will be to find out what food we can take on the plane and how to keep it from spoiling. I know we can pack healthy nuts and I’m sure we can bring vegetables too. Since the new eating plan does not allow lectins, most of the airline vegetarian meals are off limits.
So where are the horses in Perth, Western Australia?
So far most of the horse ranches appear to be south of Perth about 90 miles. I’m using google and facebook for most of my searches. If you are a horse owner or horse facility and would like to have your horses photographed while I am in Perth, Western Australia- please drop an email and reach out.
So far on the books is Glenrowan Estate Arabians in Gwelup, Western Australia.
