Dragonfly Gift shop was started in the Spring of 2016 by Jewelry artist, Kathleen Cook and Glass Artist, Cynde Haan. I’m pleased to be joining these two amazing female artists along with many other local and talented artists. Old Town Cottonwood is located in the “Heart of the Verde Valley Wine Country”. An easy trip from Phoenix—only an hour and a half drive. Old Town is known for its Main Street with over 60 businesses that attract visitors and support local residents. I am pleased to offer my Equine Fine Art at The Dragonfly Handcrafted Local Art Gift Shop.
“Cottonwood has grown into a destination for wine lovers. Tasting rooms line Main Street in Old Town, housed in Prohibition-era buildings and fronted by covered sidewalks. -Roger Naylor, a local travel and entertainment writer.
“An Old Town Flower Shop” is now open next door and shares a spacious patio with outdoor and living art. The vibe is fun, a little eclectic combined with colorful and down to earth. Sales have been brisk already and it is wonderful to see that they are a success with the locals and out of town visitors already!
Dragonflies and horses!
I am happy to be a part of this gallery as it comes to life for the upcoming Autumn season. I love seeing the talent on display and it is really kind of fun to see the artwork around my horse photography. I feel like it really goes together well. The color on the walls highlights the earth tones of the horse photographs on canvas and that is sure to keep people engaged by all of the great talent on display there. What a nice combination of artistic talent for people who are coming over to the town for a wine tasting event, dinner, the monthly art walk or just to enjoy this fun little town.
Eat, drink and buy great art!
There are several wine Tasting rooms in Old Town Cottonwood. One of my favorites is Pillsbury Wine. Earlier this summer I enjoyed a 2 month exhibition of my work there. While showing in Cottonwood, Arizona I’ve enjoyed several good meals including Bocce and Nics. With some really great places to eat and another few spots to do some wonderful local wine tastings, your evening does not have to end there. Now you can add another stop on your list by looking at this newly opened gift shop for art for yourself or even gifts for the holidays coming up soon. Stop in and see the helpful and friendly staff at the Dragonfly Handcrafted Local Gift Shop, they will be happy to help you put together a gift bag of lovely horse coasters, prints, and calendars for those on your list or perhaps a nice horse photograph on canvas from the wall.
