Equine Photographer moves to Easy Street
I am pleased to have Easy Street Galleria among the locations to offer my Equine Fine Art. Easy Street Galleria is a fairly new and unique addition to Carefree town center! Easy Street Galleria is home to over 25 talented fine artists and crafters that work in many different mediums from oil painting to exotic wood creations. There is also a funky fashion boutique and a colorful 500 square foot art studio that will host beginners and advanced art classes for adults and children.
Easy Street Galleria is the creative vision of Victoria Orrico, a 5 year resident of Carefree. Victoria creates whimsical creations from gourds and dabbles in many other medias. She has been featured in many art shows, newspapers and even interviewed twice on Fox news 15!
Easy Street Galleria is located at 100 Easy Street in downtown Carefree, Arizona right near the famous Sundial.
History of Carefree Arizona.
The Town of Carefree was the vision of KT Palmer and Tom Darlington in the early 1950’s. Two men who carried out many of their joint ventures on a simple handshake created the Carefree Development Corp.which spawned the name of the town. Carefree experienced tremendous growth from 1959 to 1984, prior to incorporation. Carefree featured Arizona’s first fly-in residences at the Sky Ranch Airport, who would travel from all over the country to experience the Sonoran Desert and buy land from the Carefree Development Corporation.
The Carefree Sundial: Commissioned in 1959 for Carefree co-founder KT Palmer and designed by solar engineer John Yellott. In 1976 the Sundial was acquired, dedicated and donated to the Town of Carefree by the Kiwanis Club of Carefree in memory of their fellow member KT Palmer (1899-1976).
In 2011 The Carefree Desert Gardens was opened. The result is an amazing oasis in the desert, the Crown Jewel of Carefree, and one of only two public botanical gardens in the Valley. The Town has installed free WiFi and added a full playground, separate from the Gila Monster slide already in place. The historic sundial, second largest in the world, has recently been powder coated and has acquired new LED lighting from Let There Be Light.
The Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion is the center of all of Carefree’s Downtown activities and events located within the heart of the Desert Gardens. In 2013, Sanderson Lincoln generously gifted the Town funds for a large capital improvement project for what was then called the Amphitheater.
