Cowboy photos- sneak peak at some new images

Do you want to get a sneak peak of some new cowboy photos?

I’ve been working on some new cowboy photos recently.   There’s just something so nostalgic about cowboy photography.  I’m getting ready to release a few new images and thought I’d share a few with my subscribers.  Sometimes when I’m working with my horse or cowboy photography I waiver on how to apply the perfect effect or any effect at all.

Applying a photo treatment to cowboy photos

I don’t tend to do much photo manipulation but on occasion I come across a certain image that may require some extra tweaking.  I’ve been leaning more to black and white images that allow for more depth and contemplation from the viewer.  Sometimes just small adjustments in contrast and levels can translate into a very different photo.  This cowboy photo below can be interesting in lighter and darker treatment.

As I apply different treatments to this cowboy photo it takes on a totally different perspective for the viewer.  This particular cowboy photo was taken at an early morning roundup- the fog effect is actually dust settling from the surrounding horses and cowboys.  I’m more partial to the lightest image shown here.  It’s the closest to what the actual scene looked like to me.

If you look at some of the cowboy photos I already have in my cowboy and cowgirl gallery on my website, you will see that most of my images include a wrangler emerging from a cloud of dust.  If I convert one to black and white and adjust the levels it almost appears as if the roper is riding at night during a full moon hoping to round up his horse.

“May your belly never grumble, may your heart never ache, may your horse never stumble, may your cinch never break.”
