Manifesting and Winning My Horse Art on a Billboard (almost)

My Horse Art on a billboard!! That was the dream we conjured up just a few short months ago.

The story goes like this…

Christy had called me to write down the phone number that appeared on an advertisement for a local billboard. I had certainly considered how fun it would be to see my name and my horse art on a billboard.  I’m always considering my return on investment so I was cautious and skeptical when I called the phone number. I finally connected with the sales representative and he quoted me some pricing on various billboard locations around the state of Arizona.

We’ve never had Horse Art on A Billboard

“We’ve never had Horse Art on a Billboard before” was his comment to me. He also shared that they had never had an artist buy billboard space and he wasn’t sure it was the best investment for me. He delivered his quotes and I set them aside. In 2019 I have cut back on some of my brick and mortar locations for selling Horse art and have been exploring new ideas and virtual locations for my horse art. I was open to new possibilities.

Pixels introduces a Billboard Contest

Just a few short weeks after the exchange with the Billboard advertising sales rep, I read about a Billboard Art Contest that was being sponsored by Fine Art America/Pixels. The online art company was offering a Billboard spot for artists to win. They were selecting 5 winners from all their entries that reached over 250 public votes.

I re-joined Fine Art America/Pixels as a member and submitted my maximum three pieces of Horse Art. After submission I posted the contest and link for voting on my personal and business page on Facebook. I wrote about the contest and shared it with my collectors via my newsletter. I decided to focus my efforts to one entry-Sand Storm!! Sand Storm is a photograph of a Black Friesian Stallion from the Windswept Manes Collection. This gorgeous black stallion horse with a long flowing mane and intense eyes is a definite favorite among my collectors. The shoot took place on the beach in Florence, Oregon.

The votes trickled in during the first few days. I had reached approx 75 votes when I really started envision this horse photo on a big billboard in Los Angeles. Here’s where it really gets FUN!!

Law of Attraction shows it’s power!

I have been a believer in Law of Attraction and a member of several Law of Attraction and Abraham-Hicks groups on Facebook. I believe that I create my own reality. I believe that people can co-create with me and that my intentions (when focused) can bring about tremendous rewards.

I also love and appreciate my life very much.

I decided to share my postings about the Horse Art on the billboard and how the contest came about from the thoughts and interactions with the sales rep. I shared how the idea was spinning around in my vortex! It was so easy to see the photo of Sand Storm on the Billboard.

Once I posted the story on the pages of these groups- the votes started pouring in. I was flooded with support and loving comments and powerful affirmations from total strangers who also believe in my dream. I was in tears of joy with the outpouring and spent almost 8 hours sitting at my computer just thanking people for all the support and love and belief and votes.

Each day the voting numbers would climb, first quickly and then the last week of the contest they still trickled in bringing me to a grand total of 866 votes at the end of voting. Those 866 people helped me to be the winner of the popular vote with Sand Storm horse photo winning the most votes!! Over 36,000 entries were submitted. Absolutely incredible and wonderful. I’m still in awe of the power of Law of Attraction.

Winners announced of the placement of art on the Billboards

The final 5 winners were chosen by a jury panel. They selected 5 winners from the over 300 entries that qualified. 5 winners announced today who get their art work shown on a giant Billboard in Los Angeles for several months towards the end of 2019. Naturally, it’s an advertisement for Fine Art America/Pixels but it’s also a chance to have my horse art on a billboard.

I was not chosen as one of the five winners but I greatly appreciate all the efforts and Facebook shares and votes by so many wonderful people. It was a great experience and I STILL WON!
