Future horse photo shoots

Future horse photo shoots in the works.

My list of future horse photo shoots is coming together nicely.  It’s never too early to start planning! There are some road trips to take and flights to catch and adventures to be had.

Some of my dream trips include

Horses in British Columbia

I recently found this horse photo shoot opportunity with Ryan Courson

“Nestled in the B.C mountains, this 7 day workshop takes place at one of the most beautiful ranches that I’ve ever visited.  With a herd of over 100 horses as our subjects, and the Rocky Mountains in the background, you’ll get to enjoy an amazing week of photography where you’ll get hands on help in capturing some incredible images of these majestic animals.”

While I’m up in British Columbia, I might as well enjoy a spiritual experience with horses by scheduling a retreat with Equinisity.  If you have an hour- please tune in to the movie on Amazon Prime called “Herd”.  You can observe the intuition and healing powers between the horses and humans and the landscape is incredible too.

Horses in New England during Fall foliage

I have a dear friend that has just moved to Portland, Maine.  I have tasked her with finding a few horse farms in her area for me to visit when I am in Portland during fall foliage.  I spent the first 12 years of life living in the New England area and have not seen fall foliage like that since I was there.  Imagine the lush green grass and horses running under along a row of trees with vibrant red and golden yellow leaves. Sure beats the fields of brown dust and sand in Arizona.

New England is filled with lush trees and huge lakes.  I have fond memories of many travels in the back of our station wagon as a kid.

Then of course , there is the horses of Camargue

“The Camargue horse is an ancient breed of horse indigenous to the Camargue area in southern France. Its origins remain relatively unknown, although it is generally considered one of the oldest breeds of horses in the world.”

While I’m over there I might as well visit Spain and Italy.  Italy has been on my wish list for several years now.  Not necessarily for the horse photo shoot opportunities but for the food and wine and people and landscape and architecture.

My brother has traveled quite a bit in Europe and is a wonderful photographer. Below are a few of his images from his travels.

These are just a few of the future horse photo shoot travels on my wish list.  Aren’t you looking forward to the photos and the experiences? I sure am!
